This is what the pathological loser from New York Teddy (Kevin Hart) will find out, who mistakenly rents the wrong apartment for the duration of his vacation and ends up in a real torture chamber. 

To save his life, Teddy decides to pretend to be some kind of Toronto Man, whom the client is waiting for, but CIA agents suddenly burst into the house. Having told the agents the whole truth that he has nothing to do with the killer, Teddy is forced to participate in the capture of the criminal. Now, in order to catch the real killer, he needs to keep pretending to be the Toronto Man.
